Audio Book Description
Millions of readers the world over have been held spellbound by this valiant tale vividly told. Now, enter Terry Goodkind’s world, the world of The Sword of Truth.
In the aftermath of the brutal murder of his father, a mysterious woman, Kahlan Amnell, appears in Richard Cypher’s forest sanctuary seeking help...and more. His world, his very beliefs, are shattered when ancient debts come due with thundering violence.
In their darkest hour, hunted relentlessly, tormented by treachery and loss, Kahlan calls upon Richard to reach beyond his sword-to invoke within himself something more noble. Neither knows that the rules of battle have just changed...or that their time has run out.
This is the beginning. One book. One Rule. Witness the birth of a legend.

Wizard‘s First Rule by Ronnie on July 14 2007
I love a good fantasy series, and this story is a
good one, but the narration (by Jim Bond) is so
annoying I‘ve taken the 2nd and 3rd books off my
list. Dick Hill would have been a better choice.
Mr. Bond would do better narrating electronic
manuals.

This was a very good fantasy book. Leads you right
into the second novel. Can‘t wait to get it.

Fun story and very good narrator,Love story
drawn out and some segments were way too
long.Would have been outstanding story if was
written more for an adult audience and with less
details, and more of a twist to the outcome.

Great Book. If you like Fantasy it is
a must read...or listen should I say ;)
GoodKind is a master at keeping the reader
intrigued over and over with his twisting
plots and is a genius at portraying the
characters in the ever pressing fantasy world.
The Characters are built and empressed as such
that you are truly affected by what happens to
them which just enthralls you into the book
further to captivate and fully rivet your
attention until the end and then leaves you
ready for the next chapter in the saga...
Goodkind is Good, but not Perfect. by Michael on December 14 2006
This whole series is engaging and addictive.
However, Goodkind leads the plot down paths that
seem overly convoluted, with characters nearly
connecting, but for fate... Sometimes it seems
gratuitous. And the violence, both personal and
societal seems to stray into incredulity just
for shock effect. It‘s a good read that will
keep you coming back, but the tag on the neck
still chaffs!

Story moves along nicely, not alot of characters
to remember. Very intruging.
Enter a World Where Magic Rules by Howard on July 02 2006
In some places magic rules and in others it
doesn‘t exist. This is not a book about stage
magicians or fluffy magic. Where magic rules,
evil people are ready to use it to their
advantage. Virtue might win out, but only if we
remember the first rule. Listen to this book to
learn the rule.

Very good series, similar to "The Wheel of Times"
series by R. Jordan
The only downfall is that the books can be
repetitive, in that the author repeats key points
of previous books.
