| Dick Hill has recorded everything from sci-fi fantasy to non-fiction, Michael Connelly's gritty cop tales to Faulkner's brilliant prose, and all stops in between. His taping of Kozol's Pulitzer prize winning Amazing Grace was deemed the industry's best non-fiction audio book of 1995, and remains one of Hill's favorites, along with Twain's Huckleberry Finn. In 1997 Hill received 3 nominations for Best Audiobook, a reflection of his character-driven style, which he credits to a lifetime of oberving and enjoying people. He has been named one of America's Golden Voices by AudioFile magazine. With actress(and wife)Susie Breck, Dick won the 2004 Audie Award for Best MultiVoice Production, for Sharyn McCrumb's Ghost Riders. Hill has two grown children, and lives, loves, gardens, and cooks with his talented wife Susie Breck in the Midwest. |
