On July 22, 2004, after 20 months of interviews, hearings and other research, the bipartisan 911 commission issued its widely acclaimed report detailing the events leading to the attacks of September 11th 2001, the attacks themselves, America's response and recommendations for dealing with the growing threat of terrorism.
