| It began with the theft of the Orb that protected the West from the evil God Torak. Before that, Garion had been a simple farm boy. Afterward, he discovered his aunt was the Sorceress Polgara, and his grandfather was Belgrath, the Eternal Man. Then on his quest to recover the Orb, Garion discovered he too was a sorcerer. Now atlast, the Orb has been regained, and the quest nears its end. Of course, the questors must still escape from a crumling enemy fortress, flee across a desert filled with Murgo soldiers, avoid the Grolim Hierachs seeking to destroy them with dark magic, and somehow get the Orb back to Riva before Erastide. After that, Garion felt assured, his part in these great events would be finished. But the Prophecy still holds several surprises for Garion, and for the little Imperial Princess Ce'Nedra. Thus continues the epic Belgariad, with a prophecy spanning seven thousand years, and rushing toward its fulfillment. |
