The word Kitabe is an ancient East Indian word for Books. Our passion is reading books and traveling. For more than
10 years, as we drove around great North American continent, we were constantly frustrated not being able to tune into
a radio station for music or proper talk radio; so we started buying audiobooks on cassette and then on CD’s to enjoy
our long drives.
As time went by, more and more printed books have been released on cassettes and CD’s, but the
number of CD’s for each printed book has also increased. There is nothing more distracting then changing CD after CD
in a single disc CD player while driving. That’s when we started looking for better ways to enjoy audiobooks and we
found that many publishers of audiobooks were offering audiobooks in MP3 format and we were thrilled to get a 11 CD
audiobook like “The Divine Comedy” on 1 MP3-CD.
From this quest, we decided to offer all the audiobook lovers
the same hassle free way of listening to audiobooks at a very affordable price.
We believe that audiobooks
are the best way to read a book. When a book is read to you, your imagination captures that of the author combined with
your own.
