August 22, 2007 – New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz has signed a new deal for World English audio rights with Brilliance Audio. The deal, for his next four books, was negotiated with Eileen Hutton of Brilliance Audio. Hutton stated, “I have been a fan of Dean and his writing for years. I find his work psychologically complex and emotionally rewarding, and I’m delighted that his future books will be published by Brilliance.” Dean Koontz agreed that this is a good match. “I have been impressed by the Brilliance commitment to excellence, as evidenced by their productions of some of my earlier books that had never before had an audio release. I now look forward to the prospect of working with Eileen and the entire Brilliance Audio team on my new books. Their enthusiasm makes me both proud and excited to explore what lies ahead.” Dean Koontz novels are published in 38 languages and have sold over 325,000,000 copies worldwide -- a figure that currently increases by more than 17 million copies per year. Recent New York Times bestsellers include The Good Guy, The Husband, and Brother Odd, the latest to feature the popular Odd Thomas. The last book on his current contract, The Darkest Evening of the Year, will go on sale everywhere November 27. The first work under the new Brilliance Audio deal will be published in the spring of 2008.
