| Digital Audio Books |
Traditionally an audio book is a voice recording by a narrator. A good narrator creates a memorable recording with voice makeover for all characters involved. These days, there are many online sites that have text read by computer software. At Kitabe.com all the audio books we have are narrated by award winning narrators who are experienced in recording digital audio. The term "digital audio books" no longer applies solely to compact disc versions of audio books, but it applies to MP3-CD audio books as well.
The MP3 version of an audio book is compressed, but the digital quality of the audio books is impressive. A typical unabridged audio book may require 10 CDs to hold the entire book whereas an MP3-CD audio book can hold that entire audio book in a single CD. This makes MP3-CD audio books more portable. An MP3-CD audio book can be played on any computer, most DVD players and recently almost in any car audio that is MP3 compatible. In a car audio player, if there is a sign "mp3", it will play our MP3-CD audio books. If you are not sure your car can play our MP3-CD audio books, please send a note to customer.service@kitabe.com with the car make/model and we can help you with mp3 compatibility.
At Kitabe.com, all our members have access to 5000+ MP3-CD audio books. All the audio books are recorded in a digital recording studio and edited by audio book professionals. We have visited some of these recording studio's and were impressed by the care the publisher's took to make sure the audio books were of high digital quality without any background noises.
