It’s a sad fact that not many people read anymore. Most people would rather watch a movie or a clip on You Tube rather than pick up a good book. They would rather watch the movie version of a book rather than read that book for a book report. However, reading books offers something movies and other forms of media can’t give you. Sure, you can escape mentally in a movie and you can actually zone out, provided that the movie is good enough to hold your attention. But a book can give you details you can’t get from a movie. You can get into the characters’ heads, find out what they’re thinking, why they do what they do. You can experience taste and smell; something movies cannot even come close to offering. If reading is so superior then, why aren’t more people reading? The fact is, people don’t have much time. With work, school, commutes and such, picking up a good book and reading for pleasure is almost impossible. Unless you get audio books. All Your Favorite Titles
Audio books are offered in most titles sold in the book store. If you can’t find them at your local bookstore, you can definitely find the audio books you’re looking for online. Audio books can be played with your MP3 player so that you can listen to the book while you’re working out, walking to and from school or work, and you can even listen to your audio books while you’re driving to and from work. If you don’t have to read, you can listen to your favorite books and get the same experience you can as if you read it yourself. Voice Is Important
Most of the time, the publishing house that produces the audio books will have someone famous recite the words from the book onto the MP3 file. This could be the author of the book or it could be someone with a good reading voice. If the voice is distracting, however, you could easily become distracted from the words being read and it can be hard to get the most out of a book that way. You shouldn’t have to worry about that, though, as the voices are specially chosen so as to give you the full effect of the audio book and not to distract.
No matter where you’re at, or what you’re doing, with an audio book and an MP3 player, you can listen to any book you want to. No longer is not having time a viable excuse.
